Our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice team strives to address and prioritize your oral surgery needs in a professional, caring, and stress-free environment.
For your convenience, I speak English and Spanish fluently. Our assistants also speak Russian and Ukrainian.
I was born in Leon, Nicaragua, and raised in Puerto Rico. I graduated college with a degree in General Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico in 1995.
I attended the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry on an Air Force Health Promotions Scholarship and graduated MAGNA CUM LAUDE with a – Dental Medicine Doctorate D.M.D. degree in 2000.
I had the privilege of completing a four-year residency at the University of Puerto Rico – Medical Sciences Campus and graduating with a Post-Doctoral degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2004.
I then became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
I was honored to serve The United States Air Force initially as the Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Misawa Air Base, Japan, and then at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska.

I provided Surgical Services, Readiness, and Continuing Education training for Dental/Medical Officers, Dental/Medical Technicians, and Support Personnel in both locations.
I also served as a faculty for the Advanced Education General Dentistry and Triage Team Chief for the 35th Med Group, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska from 2008-2011.
After an honorable discharge from the military, I have been in private practice since.
I am married to my lovely wife Rebecca and we have three amazing children.
As a Christian, I love and serve The Lord Jesus and the people He places in my life every day. I love my Oral and Maxillofacial career and enjoy a vast camaraderie with many dental colleagues all over Alaska.
We communicate often and work together to provide the best service possible. It is my hope that as you visit us in Arctic Oral Surgery you feel welcome and experience excellent service!

HOBBIES/WHEREABOUTS:
I enjoy wilderness, climbing, photography, hunting & fishing, archery, target shooting, water/snow sports, playing the guitar, Judo and Taekwondo. I am a woodworking enthusiast. I truly enjoy family and friends, loving God, and community through my church family.
I have been blessed to participate in numerous missions – medical, evangelical, and for translation & Pastoral support.
